friday five: favorite fitness tunes

Happy Friday, my friends! Per usual, I am linking up with the lovely ladies of DC: Courtney at Eat Pray Run DCCynthia at You Signed up for What?, and Mar at Mar on the Run, as I do every Friday. This week's theme is "Five Favorite Fitness Tunes". I recently wrote a similar post here, but I'm always updating my playlist, so here's a few more favorites:

1. Shake It Off - Taylor Swift

2. It Was Always You - Maroon 5

3. Wake Me Up - Avicii

4. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

5. All I Do Is Win - DJ Khaled

I will admit my running playlist is MUCH different than my everyday playlist. I usually listen to Indie Folk/Rock, but love the more upbeat, pop music for running. Most Indie music is a bit more laid back, so not great for when I'm running and need a boost from the music.

What are some of your favorite fitness tunes? I'm always looking to add to my playlist :)

Thanks to CourtneyCynthia, and Mar for hosting! Make sure to check out their "Friday Five" posts (direct links above in first paragraph) and link up if you are joining in on the fun (and if you aren't – how come?!). Don't forget to read/comment on some of the other link ups :)

Also, in case you missed it, here are my posts from the week and some of my more popular posts:

Have a great weekend, everyone! Hope it's wonderful :)

friday five: my favorite songs

Happy Friday my friends! And you know that when it's Friday, it means a Friday Five link up!  I am linking up with the lovely ladies of DC: Courtney at Eat Pray Run DCCynthia at You Signed up for What?, and Mar at Mar on the Run. This week's theme is "Five of My Favorite..." and I chose some of my top songs that are on my running playlist — it's hard to pick only five when I have so many jams I like to rock out to when running ;) Here we go:

1. I Wanna Get BetterBleachers

2. Can't Hold UsMacklemore & Ryan Lewis

3. Do I Wanna Know?Arctic Monkeys

4. Burn Ellie Goulding

5. Young Volcanoes Fall Out Boy

What are some of your favorite jams to run to? I'm always adding to my playlist in order to keep it from getting stale :)

Thanks to CourtneyCynthia, and Mar for hosting! Make sure to check out their "Friday Five" posts (direct links above in first paragraph) and link up if you are joining in on the fun (and if you aren't – how come?!). Don't forget to read/comment on some of the other link ups, especially on a Friday like this one where the theme will be all over the place :) It makes it so fun and diverse.

Have a great weekend! Good luck if you have a race or training! I personally have 4 miles Friday, 13 miles on Saturday, and a 5k Sunday :)
